Nissan’s best-selling Altima drove back into the headlines again when earlier this month Kelley Blue Book’s KBB.com named the 2015 model one of the “10 Best Sedans Under $25,000.” KBB.com editors selected the Altima due to its standout fuel economy, notably comfortable front seats and “cool” Easy Fill Tire Alert system, among other features.
“With a starting Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price* (MSRP) of just $22,300, the 2015 Altima offers a long list of comfort and technology features which make it a customer favorite,” said Dan Mohnke, vice president, Nissan Chief Marketing Manager & Marketing Operations. “We are honored that the Altima has been chosen for this honor by the experts at Kelley Blue Book.”
Since its total redesign for the 2013 model year, the Nissan Altima remains one of the nation’s top-selling vehicles – embraced by owners for its premium exterior and interior design, rewarding driving experience and innovative, driver-focused technology. Altima also offers efficient 38 mile-per-gallon highway fuel economy (2.5-liter engine) and an array of five high-value available models that meet a range of customer needs and budgets.
As in previous years, its dynamic performance is provided by a choice of a 182-horsepower 2.5-liter DOHC inline 4-cylinder engine or 270-horsepower 3.5-liter V6, with both engines matched with a smooth, efficient Xtronic transmission. The 4-wheel independent suspension features Active Understeer Control for refined feel and responsive handling.
The 2015 Altima offers a premium interior design that looks and feels a class above, with standard NASA-inspired Zero Gravity front seats, Bluetooth Hands-Free Phone System, Streaming Audio via Bluetooth and an Advanced Drive-Assist Display in the center of the instrument cluster that integrates key information right in front of the driver.
Altima SL models include standard leather-appointed seating and Bose Premium Sound System with nine speakers. Altima also offers available NissanConnect with Navigation and Mobile Apps. The system includes in-vehicle smartphone integration for Android and iPhone operating systems, a 7.0-inch color touch-screen display, SiriusXM Traffic and SiriusXM Travel Link (fuel prices, movie times, stock updates, weather) (SiriusXM subscription required, sold separately).
Easy Fill Tire Alert is standard, while available next-generation Safety Shield Technologies include Blind Spot Warning (BSW), Lane Departure Warning (LDW) and Moving Object Detection (MOD) systems.
The 2015 Nissan Altima is offered in five well-equipped models: Altima 2.5, 2.5 S, 2.5 SV, 2.5 SL and 3.5 SL. Altima is assembled in the United States.
